Location Thurrock (relocating to Barking within the next 12 months)
Working Hours Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:00
Holiday 22 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
Salary £30k per annum
Requirements
Key responsibilities
* Delivery and collection of goods safely and efficiently to our job sites
* Load and unload vehicles, ensuring that loads are secure at all times
* Follow scheduled instructions and routes, and meet delivery times
* Adhere to all site instructions and PPE requirements – safety is paramount
* Maintain vehicle cleanliness and carry our vehicle checks
* Provide excellent customer service at all times
Essential
Experience & skills required
* Full UK driving licence (clean preferred)
* Good driving skills and road awareness
* Punctual, trustworthy, and self motivated
* Basic physical fitness (lifting may/will be required)
* Previous delivery experience to operational building sites is a bonus
* Experience in multi-drop deliveries
* Good understanding of English (verbal and written)
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills
* Ability to follow instructions
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team, independently and under pressure
Desired
* Understanding of the construction industry
* Knowledge of construction industry tools
* Knowledge of logistic operations
* Knowledge/understanding of Drivers' Hours Rules and WTD
* Knowledge of London and surrounding boroughs
* Knowledge of FORS requirements
