OVERVIEW: WELDING & FABRICATION INSTRUCTOR
We are currently seeking a Welding professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of Welding & Fabrication qualifications for a well-established training provider.
The Welding Instructor will be involved in teaching, coaching, and mentoring young learners undertaking Welding qualifications. You should be a time-served Welder / Fabricator and ideally hold a Level 2 or higher qualification in a Welding & Fabrication discipline.
Experience in delivering training and possession of an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above) is preferred. If you do not hold these but have a genuine interest in moving into a training role, enjoy working in educational environments, and are a qualified Welder, we encourage you to apply. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
The role is based at a training centre in Grimsby, with potential visits to other centres in the Humberside region. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver and coordinate welding qualifications at a high-tech training facility, ensuring learners meet relevant standards and complete their qualifications successfully.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum 4 years' relevant occupational experience as a qualified welder/fabricator
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Experience working with young people
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
* Level 2 (or above) welding qualification
* Knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, plating, and sheet metal work
* Assessor Qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent) - desirable
* Teaching qualification - desirable
