Marketing Manager, Conferences
Gartner – Join us to lead, formulate, and execute marketing campaigns for Gartner conferences that drive attendee revenue and qualified sales leads.
What you will do
* Work with product research and conference program management to deeply understand product offerings and conference agendas, positioning Gartner’s conferences to potential attendees.
* Develop segmentation, competitive differentiation, targeted marketing, and market opportunity assessments.
* Create value‑based product/conference messaging & positioning, and story lines for promotion across emails, collateral, video, web, SEM and other channels.
* Analyze external client and attendee survey data from Customer Insights to inform campaign strategy and launch.
* Leverage the Digital Marketing Center of Excellence and analytics tools to identify the best channel mix for ROI.
* Define and execute campaigns aligned with the buyer journey – from lead acquisition to registration, using re‑targeting to maximize engagement.
* Improve sales teams’ ability to engage with segments through prospect conversation scripting and conference materials, maintaining a central repository of sales support tools.
* Cultivate program‑specific promotional opportunities (conferences, co‑branding partnerships, etc.) to generate leads and build sales pipelines.
* Execute all campaign elements, review performance metrics, and refine strategies to drive demand.
* Monitor demand conversion and registrations, surface challenges, and report results to stakeholders.
* Interact with functional groups, present marketing plans, and influence their approach to conference messaging and promotion.
What you will need
* Metrics‑driven and insatiably curious, with 5+ years of outbound/digital marketing experience and responsibility for revenue through marketing channels.
* Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* Exceptional project‑management skills.
* Experience in marketing campaign creation, lead management, and pipeline conversion.
* Data‑driven and analytical; experience with Google Analytics is a plus.
* Great interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
* Experience with email marketing and marketing automation (e.g., Eloqua).
* Fundamental design principles knowledge.
* SEO/SEM knowledge.
* Web content creation and content management skills; experience with Adobe Experience Manager a plus.
* Ability to balance analytical data with creative content and copy.
* Willingness to travel 10%+ per year both regionally and internationally.
