MERCHANDISER | ECOM & RETAIL | INTERNATIONAL RETAILER | HYBRID | UP TO £50,000
Working for one of the most recognizable retailers in the UK with a leading merchandising team, this is a great opportunity for an experienced merchandiser to enhance their CV by joining this brand. You will manage one of our client's premier categories, leading a small team, with opportunities for development and progression.
Responsibilities:
1. Forecast stock within inventory plans with support from junior team members.
2. Balance pricing, risk profile, category, supplier profiles, colour, and product mixes each season.
3. Build and implement WSSI & OTB management to meet sales and stock targets.
4. Identify best sellers and focus on move-ons to generate sales.
5. Review product and supplier mix with the Buyer to ensure quality and design standards.
6. Create strategy, lessons learned, and weekly trade packs; present suggestions confidently to senior management.
7. Establish a consistent pricing architecture considering competition and promotional activities.
8. Manage the range in collaboration with the Head of Merchandising, Buying, and Design teams.
9. Conduct market-specific promotions to grow the business, with autonomy in merchandising decisions.
10. Analyze data to support team decisions.
11. Monitor online performance to maximize profit.
12. Re-forecast monthly and communicate key actions to senior management.
13. Review weekly cover and make commercial decisions on product replenishment.
14. Motivate and be approachable as a line manager to junior colleagues.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience at a merchandiser level or higher.
* Experience with apparel, ideally womenswear and/or menswear.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills.
