Join to apply for the Head of Transformation and Change Practice role at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust

Developing a consistent approach to transformational change within the Trust and with wider system partners will be a key part in delivery of the Trusts ambition to become the best Rural District General Hospital and will support in the delivery of the Trusts strategic ambition and financial strategy and initiatives.

As we move into a Group model, we have an aspiration to further develop our Transformation capacity and capability. We are working at Group level to develop a robust and sustainable model of transformation delivery. In time, the Transformation Team will consist of a number of functions, including; the Programme Management Office (PMO), responsible for monitoring, reporting and driving the clinical and corporate directorates to deliver projects and programmes across the Trust and ensuring appropriate programme governance oversight and assurance; and the Transformation team responsible for programme management of complex change programmes (as set out in the Trusts transformation programme) working alongside the Senior Responsible Owners (SROs).

This role is responsible for delivery at both Trust and Group level. We are looking for an experienced leader who can empower the team and deliver key priorities during a period of significant change.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leadership of the transformation team, working closely with wider transformation and change management colleagues at all levels.
* Leadership of Change Practice, developing and continuously improving the Trusts approach to professional change management, including joint workforce development with system partners to aid recruitment and retention of permanent staff.
* Planning and scheduling, ensuring systems are in place to enable effective project and programme planning and scheduling.
* Monitoring and reporting, managing project/programme controls, reporting project/programme status, developing performance reports and maintaining and monitoring consolidated action logs, progress updates, risks, issues, dependencies and milestones.
* Admin, ensuring organisational tasks are carried out efficiently, managing compliance of the programme against quality, financial, and operational controls, supporting the general running of the programme management office.
* Resources, assisting in the development and maintenance of programme management tools and documents.
* Stakeholder, managing and engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Financial control, tracking project savings and contributing to the project/programme business case where applicable.
* Risks and Issues, identification and monitoring of programme and project risks, issues and interdependencies.

The role will operate at Trust and Group level. There's never been a more exciting time to join TeamQEH. We're working on a once in a generation opportunity to build a new state-of-the-art hospital due to open in 2031/32 and we are also carrying out one of the biggest pieces of digital transformation work we've ever undertaken.

Our new electronic patient record (EPR) will replace paper-based patient records from 2026 and will lead to better, safer, joined-up care at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and beyond.

We are an ambitious organisation that upholds our values of kindness, wellness and fairness. We strive for continuous quality improvement and are proud to be a place to learn and grow through recognised learning and apprenticeships.

We recognise and reward our 4,000 staff and volunteers, priding ourselves on a community atmosphere and positive team spirit.

Please note that this is a secondment post available only to employees who currently work within the Norfolk And Waveney NHS system.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
