About TSG
TSG Building Services PLC is a growing, forward-thinking business delivering mechanical, electrical, building and renewable solutions to a broad and diverse client base. Award-winning and multi-disciplined, we operate across the South East serving Homeowners and Landlords, Local Authorities and Housing Associations.
We are investing in our Bid Team and looking for an exceptional individual who brings more than coordination — someone who can write compellingly, model contracts financially and bring a genuine hunger to win.
The Role
This is not a standard bid role. As Bid Development Manager, you will sit at the heart of our business development effort — crafting persuasive bid content, building financial models that stack up, and ensuring every submission we make tells a winning story.
Working closely with the Bid Director and senior leadership, you will help TSG identify, pursue and convert the right opportunities into profitable contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of compelling, high-quality bid content tailored to each client and opportunity
- Write and refine responses to PQQs, SQs, ITTs, RFPs and presentations
- Build and interrogate financial models for contract bids — stress-testing assumptions and ensuring commercial viability
- Work alongside operational and finance leads to model contract costs, resource requirements and pricing strategies
- Coordinate end-to-end bid production, managing timelines, contributors and submission requirements
- Maintain bid templates, document libraries, case studies and knowledge repositories
- Proactively track and pursue contract opportunities through secured frameworks
- Use approved AI and digital tools to support drafting, quality assurance and efficiency
About You
- Proven experience in bid writing or bid management, with a strong portfolio of written submissions
- Exceptional written communication skills — able to write clearly, persuasively and at pace
- Strong financial literacy — comfortable building and interrogating contract financial models
- A commercial mindset — you understand margin, risk and what makes a contract work
- Minimum two years’ experience in a bid, business development or commercially focused role
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple bids and competing deadlines
- A genuine hunger to win — you treat every bid as an opportunity to outperform the competition
Desirable
- Experience in construction, building services or facilities management
- APMP Foundation level certification
- Familiarity with MyTenderIO or similar bid management platforms
What We Offer
- Salary of £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
- A genuine opportunity to shape and grow the bid function
- Clear progression into senior bid or business development leadership
- A supportive, friendly environment within a growing, family-run business
TSG Building Services PLC is an equal opportunities employer
