The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Saw Technician to become a key part of our high-performing production team. In this role, you won't just operate machinery — you'll play a vital part in delivering precision, quality, and efficiency that drives our success every day.
You'll take ownership of advanced cutting equipment, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and consistently while upholding the highest quality standards. Your expertise will help maintain optimal machine performance through proactive care, cleanliness, and strict adherence to Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) schedules.

What You'll Be Doing
* Operate saw cutting machines to achieve the desired daily output while ensuring top-tier product quality.
* Maintain a safe working environment and actively support the continuing development of a safe culture.
* Training new starters to the standard operating procedures.
* Monitor and control machine performance, making real-time adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
* Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment to uphold operational standards and workplace safety.
* Perform and document routine Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) as per the maintenance schedule.
* Report any equipment malfunctions or inconsistencies in production to the maintenance or management team immediately.
* Follow company safety and quality procedures strictly.
* Maintain detailed production and maintenance logs.
* Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained and that areas are kept in a safe operating condition.
* To operate in line with safe systems of work whilst maintaining targets
* Report hazards, near misses, incidents and unsafe practices.
Experience, skills & knowledge required:
* Proven experience operating advanced cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of quality assurance standards in a production setting.
* Familiarity with PPM practices and machine cleanliness protocols.
* Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety and quality.
* Demonstrate strong team working skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work to high standards and tight deadlines, whilst achieve targets.
* A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into daily work.
* Reliable, good timekeeping.
* Health and safety conscious.
Desirable:
* Experience with Shirmer and Stuga or similar CNC systems used in the fenestration with be an advantage.
* Forklift licence or other factory equipment training.
