Asbestos TrainerJob Type: Permanent / Full-TimeSector: Engineering & ComplianceSalary: £38,000 - £45,000OverviewAn established compliance and environmental services organisation is seeking an experienced Asbestos Trainer to deliver high-quality asbestos training programmes in line with UK legislation, HSE guidance, UKATA standards, and internal quality procedures.The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering approved asbestos training courses, maintaining and developing training materials, supporting compliance standards, and ensuring training delivery remains engaging, accurate, and fully compliant across a range of environments.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining DeliveryDeliver UKATA-approved asbestos training courses, including: Asbestos AwarenessDuty to Manage AsbestosCategory B Non-Licensed WorkProvide training to both internal employees and external clients across classroom, virtual, and site-based settings.Develop and deliver bespoke asbestos training solutions tailored to specific client operations, contractual requirements, and risk profiles while maintaining compliance with UKATA and HSE standards.Ensure all training activities align with current asbestos legislation and relevant HSE guidance, including: Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012HSG210HSG247HSG248Maintain professional presentation standards and deliver engaging, informative learning experiences.Training Material DevelopmentDevelop, review, and update asbestos training materials to ensure ongoing compliance with: Current asbestos legislationHSE guidance and approved codes of practiceUKATA course requirements and learning outcomesEnsure training content reflects current industry terminology, exposure limits, legislation, and best practice.Implement updates following legislative changes, audit findings, UKATA amendments, or internal quality improvement actions.Support the continuous improvement of training methods and learning resources.Additional DutiesPromote company services professionally and identify opportunities for further client engagement and business development.Maintain personal competency through continuous professional development and refresher training.Ensure all relevant certifications, medicals, and role-specific training remain current.Maintain confidentiality of all company, learner, and client information.Operate in line with company values, policies, and professional conduct expectations.RequirementsMust meet UKATA Tutor approval requirements.Previous asbestos industry experience relevant to the courses being delivered.Successful completion of a recognised UKATA Tutor Training programme.Strong technical understanding of: Asbestos AwarenessDuty to ManageCategory B Non-Licensed Work trainingSound knowledge of asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.Experience supporting, mentoring, or auditing trainers would be advantageous.Full UK driving licence required.BenefitsThe company offers a strong benefits package alongside a supportive and people-focused working culture, including:Mental Health First Aid support within the businessEnhanced employer pension contributionsEmployee discounts across retailers, restaurants, and leisure activitiesRefer-a-friend incentive schemeCompany-funded social events and team activitiesFlexible and hybrid working options where applicableEnhanced maternity and paternity payHealthcare cash plan covering a range of medical expensesOngoing professional development and training supportTPBN1_UKTJ
