The lubricant additives business unit's product portfolio includes synthetic base oils, lubricant additives, additive packages, and formulated lubricants. These products are used across various industries such as automotive, mechanical engineering, metal processing, shipbuilding, and aviation. They serve applications like engines, gearboxes, and other industrial uses in power generation, refrigeration, mining, construction, primary metals, and food processing. Lanxess is developing specialized solutions for these applications.
Job Highlights
LANXESS UK is recruiting a QC Analyst to join our Trafford Park site.
About the role:
As a QC Analyst, you will ensure our products pass quality tests, are properly documented, and receive quality approval. Responsibilities include final product testing, approval of finished products, and evaluating customer and development samples.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Method development for new processes and products.
2. Maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment.
3. Performing analysis for site effluent.
4. Supporting production with troubleshooting.
5. Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, including reporting incidents.
6. Conducting risk and COSHH assessments.
7. Documenting and reporting non-conforming products and extensions.
Requirements:
Ideally, you have a background in the chemical or related process industries with relevant education or apprenticeship. You should be confident handling chemicals and equipment, with knowledge of GC, HPLC, and wet chemistry techniques, gained through experience or education. Good communication skills and confidence working across departments are essential. Once fully trained and competent, you will work one Saturday in five, with a salary increase.
