Now Let Us Tell You About The Role
This role involves managing maintenance activities and personnel across Midlands sites, including mobile equipment and static plant machinery.
* Ensure all H&S rules are followed, including plant isolation, lock-off, and safe access.
* Plan and keep statutory inspections up to date on sites.
* Develop and implement maintenance plans to keep the plant maintained, clean, and operational.
* Ensure adherence to maintenance plans across all facilities in the region.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure maintenance standards are met.
* Complete weekly reports on site compliance to maintenance standards for the regional operations manager.
* Manage maintenance personnel, ensuring appropriate staffing and skill levels.
* Manage and deliver site improvement projects as needed.
* Liaise with external contractors and site managers for planned maintenance or repairs.
* Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures to prevent future downtime.
* Review and maintain critical spares holdings to reduce unplanned stoppages.
* Develop reporting tools with site and regional managers to monitor unplanned downtime.
* Implement and manage a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) across the region.
* Create and execute failure reduction plans for the region.
* Collaborate with regional managers to develop and implement site development plans.
* Be available to respond to downtime events and assist as needed.
