The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is looking for a dynamic and innovative Portfolio & Planning Manager to join our People and Organisational Development (POD) Directorate. You will work closely with the Head of Organisational Change and collaborate with colleagues across POD and other directorates.
As the Portfolio & Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the POD portfolio of projects, ensuring that we are investing resources in the right initiatives to improve our performance and support the delivery of BHF's strategy to 2030.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning & portfolio managemen t: Maintaining the POD portfolio view, tracking all programmes of activity, and facilitating annual and quarterly planning cycles.
Governance : Establishing and coordinating a POD Portfolio Group and producing reports for major governance forums.
Performance & impact : Reporting on progress against strategic and operational objectives, using insights to prepare and present evidence for decision-making.
Stakeholder management : Building and managing relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, with the ability to influence and persuade.
About you
We are looking for a collaborative individual with strong portfolio management and planning skills. Excellent at communicating, youll be able to build and manage strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business at all levels. Youll be comfortable asking probing questions and confident challenging decisions and influencing stakeholders, including at a senior level.
To be successful in the role you will have: Proven experience in portfolio management and business planning.
Good understanding of frameworks for performance reporting.
Knowledge of people/HR functions, risk management, and experience in developing portfolio management systems.
The ability to ask probing questions, challenge and influence others.
Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

Interview process
