We are currently working in partnership with a Social Housing Provider in the North West, who are recruiting for a permanent Damp and Mould Surveyor to cover Oldham and Rochdale. This is a permanent position, with the salary for the role being £44,414 plus a company vehicle, as well as extensive list of benefits. The ideal candidate will be available to start in January/ February 2026.The ideal candidate will have extensive damp, mould experience and happy liaising with tenants in a friendly manner and explaining the causes of Damp and Mould.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Conducting detailed inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify damp and mould issuesWorking knowledge of Awaab’s lawAssessing moisture sources, condensation levels, and ventilation performanceDiagnosing causes of damp, including rising damp, penetrating damp, and condensationUsing specialist equipment to measure humidity, moisture content, and air qualityRecording findings accurately and producing clear technical reportsRecommending remedial actions in line with housing standards and best practiceAdvising occupants and landlords on prevention and maintenance measuresLiaising with landlords, contractors, and housing officers regarding findingsEnsuring compliance with health, safety, and housing regulationsMonitoring follow-up works and verifying effectiveness of remedial treatmentsExperience/Qualifications required:Experience carrying out Damp and Mould SurveysExperience liaising with tenants in a friendly manner Experience in finding the root cause of Damp and Mould HNC or equivalent qualificationsWorking hours:35 hours per week 08:30 – 16:00Monday – Friday, Flexible Start/Finish TimesPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.Don’t forget our recommendation scheme: Recommend a friend or colleague to us and receive up to £100 each once they have completed 20 days in a role via James Andrews!
