HR Advisor – Bilfinger UK
Bilfinger UK is a leading engineering and maintenance provider in the chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables and food & beverage markets. We enhance efficiency, availability and reduce maintenance costs across offshore and onshore facilities.
The Human Resources Advisor, working within the HR Business Partnering team, will provide support and advice to management and employees in all areas of the employee life cycle across multiple business units and functions to achieve effective organizational performance.
Main Responsibilities
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide generalist HR advice and assistance, responding to inquiries and redirecting correspondence.
* Coordinate day‑to‑day absence data and support ongoing tracking, including data analysis; organise occupational health appointments and ensure successful return‑to‑work management.
* Support the HR Business Partnering team with employee relations cases: take meeting minutes, participate in investigations, arrange hearings and collate case files for escalation.
* Conduct exit interviews, maternity and flexible working meetings in line with policy and record all relevant information.
* Provide policy interpretation and application guidance to employees and support service providers.
* Coordinate with the HR Shared Services team on contracts, variations, system updates to ensure accuracy and best practice.
* Work with HR Business Partners on rate increases, annual site‑based compensation programmes and review data for accuracy.
* Participate in projects that unlock success, continuous improvement and delivery of the HR Strategy.
Experience & Qualifications
* Strong generalist HR experience.
* Degree in Business, HR or related qualification.
* CIPD or other Human Resources accreditation.
* Effective communication skills with a wide variety of people.
* Ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Demonstrated constructive challenge ability.
* Experienced user of Microsoft Office and Access.
* Team player with strong communication skills.
* Ability to establish and develop excellent client relationships (internal and external).
* Pro‑active approach.
