Site Engineer - Regional Groundworks & Civils Contractor - Hampshire and surrounding Counties
My client is a Leading Regional Civil Engineering and Groundworks Contractor. Due to planned growth and several new contract awards in their operational region they are seeking to add another Site Engineer / Senior Engineer to their existing delivery team. They are looking to bring an individual into the business on a permanent basis but would be prepared to be flexible on the payment terms and would also offer an attractive package which would consist of a company vehicle, holiday etc.
Geographic Focus
Generally covering the Counties of Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Dorset.

Key Responsibilities
* Setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out using profiles, batter rail and pegs
* Read and review construction drawings
* Undertake basic take-off's
* Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
* Have a good commercial understanding and know the difference between cost and value
* Carry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification
* Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures
Skills & Qualifications
* The ideal candidate will have previous civil engineering experience, particularly highways schemes working for a main contractor.
* Must also have a CSCS card in the appropriate discipline and have a BSc/ HND/ HNC qualification or equivalent.
* You will have a SSTS card as well as ICE membership.
* A full UK driving licence is essential and the successful candidate will be happy to travel throughout the Southern Region.
* A First Aid at Work qualification would also be desirable.
