Leigh Academy Milestone is part of the Leigh Academy Trust and is a proud school serving students aged 2-19 with Special Educational Needs. The academy is dedicated to providing a high-quality educational provision.
We’re looking for professionals who are adaptable, enthusiastic, and ready to support pupils across various primary and secondary SEN settings. Whether you're a qualified teacher or a teaching assistant, if you have SEN experience and are excited to work in a dynamic, inclusive environment, we want to hear from you!
What We’re Looking For:
SEN experience is essential for all roles
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – for teaching roles
Previous experience working with children in educational settings
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Minimum of two professional references covering the last two years
A positive, patient, and flexible approach to supporting learning
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver or support engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to individual needs
Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure effective classroom management
Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
Support children in both classroom activities and during off-site experiences
Promote a safe and nurturing environment for all learners
