The role of this Personal CareAssistant
Our personal care assistantsjoin our client’s support team, providing reliable, essential care and supportin their home.You will be employed byHomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support themonly.This role is to work in ourclients own home in Woodingdean, Brighton for 35 hours per week. You should be flexible to work across any day of the week for day,weekend or night shifts.
About the Client and Duties
Our client is a beautifulyoung woman who needs assistance with all aspects of daily care includingpersonal care.
As her personal careassistant, you will be supporting her to get the most out of life.Our client enjoys horse-riding, trampolining,shopping, walking…and anything else adventurous!
Ideally you will be bubbly andoutgoing with a great personality and should be up for encouraging our clientto get the best out of everything.Previous care experience would be preferred.
Drivers are required and youshould be aged over 25yrs of age for insurance purposes.
Requirements
Training and Support:
We provide comprehensive, paidtraining to CQC standards covering:
* Full induction
* Safeguarding Adults
* Health & Safety and Firstaid
* Gastrostomy and Medication viaPEG
* Personal Care and ContinenceCare
* Awareness in Epilepsy,Learning Disabilities, Autism and Cerebral Palsy
All training must be completedbefore the start date and is paid at £14.40 per hour
Requirements:
* This post is exempt under TheEquality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 - there is a genuine occupationalrequirement to recruit a female support worker only
* Driver, with a full UK drivinglicence, aged over 25yr for insurance purposes
* Commitment to long-term,person-centred care
* You must be reliable,compassionate and committed to respecting confidentiality
