The practice has a large clinical team comprising of GPs, practice nurses, HCAs, mental health practitioners and a paramedic. The clinical team is supported by a large administrative team.

Job Description
Title: Human Resources (HR) Coordinator
Team: Management Support
Responsible to: Managing Partner
Reporting to: Senior HR Coordinator
Location: Weavers Medical
Hours: 20 hours per week
Contract type: 12 month contract – Maternity Cover
Main Purpose:
To assist with the day to day operations of all the HR functions and duties within the practice.
To provide clerical and administrative support to the senior HR coordinator and management team.
To compile and update employee records.
Key Tasks
* Recruitment: place job adverts online and printed media as required; communicate with candidates about shortlisting, interviews, and job offers.
* Staff Induction and Training: organise all staff training; ensure all staff sign up for training sessions; book rooms; meet and greet trainers; issue training certificates; keep an up‑to‑date training log.
* Absence Management: process holiday requests, refer requests outside policy, receive sickness call, log sickness absence.
* Starters and leavers: disseminate induction programmes for new starters; assist with pre‑employment checks; set up training logs and ensure completion; ensure return of uniform and equipment.
* Appraisals: organise annual appraisals for all staff (excluding salaried GPs); issue appraisal notes; organise 3‑month appraisals for new starters; take accurate notes at meetings.
* Other Admin Tasks: file HR documents, keep records up to date, cover absences and extra workloads, involvement in small‑business administration.
* Health & Safety: promote and maintain health, safety and security as per policy; use personal security systems; identify risks; maintain cleanliness; report hazards; undertake infection control training.
* Equality and Diversity: support equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues; act in line with procedures and legislation; respect privacy, dignity and beliefs.
* Personal/Professional Development: participate in training programmes; take responsibility for own development.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
Experience (Essential)
* Minimum 1 year of HR experience.
Experience (Desirable)
* Experience of working in primary care.
* Experience of working in a GP practice.
