Role:
As our ILR Data and Compliance Officer, you will work across Management Information & Funding to ensure funding returns are submitted accurately, data and funding compliance is adhered to; and support in the development and operation of college‑wide timetables and student attendance registration systems.
Responsibilities:
 * Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of the Individual Learner Record (ILR) specification and validation errors - implement this knowledge and successfully submit timely and accurate returns to the Department for Education (DfE) and other funding bodies.
 * Lead on data compliance audit reviews and learner record checks to ensure that funding claims are accurate.
 * Conduct regular data validation and error checks using tools such as PDSAT reports, Funding and Monitoring Reports, and any other applicable reporting methods. Ownership and accountability of assigned reports.
 * Investigate and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with Curriculum teams, Professional Service teams, and external agencies where necessary.
 * Support the College through internal and external funding and data audits, working closely with departments and preparing documentation and evidence as necessary.
 * Lead on and support the development and implementation of processes to improve data quality and funding efficiency.
 * Keep up-to-date with the latest funding rules, regulatory changes and guidelines; communicate any changes and their implications across teams; and provide guidance and training to College staff.
 * Work closely with the Timetabling and Registers team to maintain an accurate college-wide timetable and attendance system, ensuring compliance of all data in line with the DfE funding guidance.
 * Provide key support to the wider Management Information & Funding teams during peak times, including Timetables and Registers, Examinations and Enrolments; supporting with main events and providing funding expertise.
 * Be responsible for resolving and keeping up-to-date with data queries received through the team’s messaging system and assist with tasks and requests as necessary for the Management Information team.
 * Undertake any other duties, commensurate with the grade of the post that may be reasonably required.
Qualifications:
 * Level 2 (or equivalent) English and mathematics
 * Experience of manual or electronic systems for recording data
 * Experience in Data analysis
 * Competent in Microsoft Office applications
 * Previous use of a sophisticated data record system
 * Excellent customer service skills
 * Strong communication skills including written and verbal
