Role Overview
As the Project Manager – NPD, you’ll be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of new product development projects across the Myprotein portfolio. Acting as the operational engine of the Product function, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Compliance, Packaging, Supply Chain, Marketing and Manufacturing, to ensure all new products launch on time, to specification, and aligned to brand and commercial objectives.
This role is pivotal in managing timelines, maintaining project discipline, removing blockers, and enabling the smooth execution of THG’s innovation pipeline. You’ll thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and bring structure, clarity and pace to complex product development workflows.
As the Project Manager, you will:
1. Own end-to-end project management for NPD projects across multiple categories, from concept approval through to launch.
2. Build and manage detailed project plans, ensuring all cross-functional tasks (R&D, product approvals, packaging, artwork, compliance, procurement, manufacturing slots, and marketing milestones) are delivered on time.
3. Act as the central point of contact for all NPD projects, ensuring communication is clear, timely and aligned across internal teams and external suppliers.
4. Ensure all product briefs, formulations, packaging and artwork move through the appropriate approvals and meet brand, quality and compliance standards.
5. Work closely with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to secure production slots, manage critical paths, and mitigate risks that may impact launch deadlines.
6. Identify potential project risks early, propose solutions and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on track.
7. Ensure documentation, including specifications, artwork files, technical information and regulatory requirements, is accurate and up to date.
8. Support the Product Director in prioritising the NPD roadmap and aligning project delivery to commercial goals and key seasonal trading periods.
9. Lead regular cross-functional project update meetings, providing clear actions, progress tracking and status reporting to senior stakeholders.
10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve NPD processes, workflows and ways of working, driving greater efficiency and quality across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
11. 4+ years’ project management experience in FMCG, consumer goods, nutrition, food, or beauty, with demonstrable experience managing NPD or product-led projects.
12. Experience using Monday.com PM software (advantageous)
13. Strong understanding of NPD workflows, including R&D, packaging development, compliance, manufacturing and supply chain.
14. Project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, APM PMQ) are advantageous.
15. Highly proficient in project management tools (e.g. Monday.com, Jira, Smartsheet) for timeline planning and cross-functional coordination.
16. Exceptional organisation, prioritisation and communication skills — able to navigate multiple deadlines with precision.
17. Proven ability to drive accountability across teams and maintain project momentum in a fast-changing environment.
18. Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
19. Experience working with manufacturing, technical or regulatory stakeholders is highly beneficial.
