For Vacancies at Denominational Schools:
Evidence of Catholic Church Approval - Applicants must seek Catholic Church approval when submitting their application. A copy of the approval should be provided to the Chair of the Panel before the interview. Pending approval, confirmation of submission will be sought from the Church Representative.
Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate. Forms and further information are available from the Scottish Catholic Education Service (SCES) website.
Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants need RC Approval for the specific school. Forms and details are available from SCES.
Responsibilities
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020, and membership of the PVG scheme is required. Further details are available here. Preferred applicants will need to join or update their PVG scheme membership prior to an offer.
The employment is excepted from section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
