The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a HR Operations Team Leader.
Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives on delivering excellent people services and driving process improvements?
We're looking for an HR Operations Team Leader to play a key role in delivering our People Strategy. You'll lead a small, dedicated HR team, ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll, absence, and leavers.
Working closely with the Director of HR and colleagues across the Group, you'll champion continuous improvement, digital transformation, and a customer-focused HR service that supports our vision to attract and retain outstanding staff.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington and Rossendale College but may be required to travel across sites.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Take responsibility for the operational delivery and efficiency of transactional HR services and systems
* Lead a small team to ensure a high quality, efficient and timely service is provided to staff and managers across the Group, as well as to applicants
* Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for refining processes, with a particular focus on digital transformation
* Ensure compliance with Safer Recruitment responsibilities as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) guidance
* Contribute to the monitoring, review and updating of HR policies
* Lead on identified Group-wide HR projects and initiatives which support the delivery of the People Strategy
What We Are Looking For:
* A CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience in HR operations, including team leadership
* Experience of implementing process improvements or digital HR initiatives
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills
