Graduate Transport Planner – Sheffield / Nottingham
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Transport Planner, based in either our Sheffield or Nottingham Office. Working alongside a small team of experienced and skilled transport planners, we will support you in developing the skills and knowledge that you will need for a rewarding career in transport planning.

The role
You will be working within a small and dedicated team working for national house builders, land promoters, and landowners. From assisting in securing planning permissions and land allocations, you will assist in data collection / analysis, preliminary highway design, site visits, report writing and will be given the opportunity to be a key part of our business.
We have big growth plans for our transport planning team and are looking for people with the enthusiasm to come and be part of this and to develop a career with us.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the preparation of Transport Statement / Transport Assessments / Travel Plan reports
* Assisting with preparing initial Site Access Appraisals
* Data collection and analysis
* Preparing preliminary highway design drawings using AutoCAD
* Site visit works
* Working with senior officers, clients and other consultants to deliver development
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A degree in Transport planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or related
* Ideally exposure to AutoCAD and GIS
* Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently
* Strong IT skills
* Drive, commitment, enthusiasm and a team player approach
