The Opportunity
A leading global asset manager is seeking an Associate to join its Private Equity Secondaries team in Zurich.
The platform is one of the most established investors in the secondary market, managing multi-billion-dollar assets and investing across a broad range of transaction types, including LP portfolio acquisitions and GP-led transactions. The team focuses on building diversified exposure to high-quality private equity managers and underlying companies across North America and Europe, spanning buyout, growth, venture, and other opportunistic strategies.
The Associate will play a central role in the evaluation and execution of secondary investments, working closely with senior investment professionals in a collaborative and high-performance environment. The role offers significant exposure to complex transactions and global deal flow within a well-established institutional investment platform.

Responsibilities
* Evaluate private equity secondary opportunities, including LP portfolio acquisitions and GP-led transactions
* Perform detailed fund-level and asset-level due diligence on underlying private equity portfolios
* Build and maintain financial models, including portfolio cash flow forecasts, return analysis, and scenario sensitivities
* Analyse fund documentation, capital account statements, and portfolio company performance
* Prepare Investment Committee materials and support internal decision-making processes
* Coordinate due diligence processes with GPs, advisors, and internal stakeholders
* Monitor portfolio investments and support valuation and performance analysis
Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking high-calibre candidates with:
* 4–6 years of experience in:
* Private Equity Secondaries
* Secondaries Transaction Advisory
* Strong academic record with evidence of leadership and intellectual curiosity
* Advanced financial modelling, analytical, and presentation skills
* Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within fast-paced deal teams
