Based at our brand-new facility near Burnley, we are looking to strengthen our team with the addition of an Electrical Design Engineer
This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday with an early finish on Friday. Standard 40 hours a week and the salary is dependent upon experience.
Core Responsibilities
* Review and interpret customer specifications to be applied to production machinery orders
* Design and preparation of electrical schematics / safety circuits and supporting manufacturing drawings using EPLAN Electric P8 / EPLAN Pro Panel
* Prepare and maintain accurate bills of material with direction from the engineering team
* Co-ordinate and communicate with the shop floor manufacturing to ensure drawings are maintained and delivered with the machinery error free
* Implement Engineering Changes accurately within required timescales
* Contribute to new product design, reducing costs and lead times by investigating and implementing new design techniques and manufacturing processes with a focus on utilising tools available from EPLAN Electric P8 and Pro Panel
* Potential to travel to customer sites and support the installation, commissioning and maintenance
* Participate and lead continuous improvement activities
* Communicate effectively when it comes to potential training needs and your own personal development
What are we looking for?
* Time Served/Apprentice Trained
* Minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering or related discipline - or equivalent practical experience
* Design experience on Allen Bradley based control systems
* Siemens and Omron experience is beneficial but not essential
* Experience in electrical panel design
* Practical knowledge of machinery directive
* Electrical Safety knowledge
* Strong communication skills
* Proficient ICT skills
