Do you enjoy helping others achieve their goals? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team as a full time band 3 Therapy assistant, supporting and rehabilitating our stroke patients in the community.
Main duties of the job
You can make a real difference to patients' lives and help them build a future following a stroke.
Your role will involve working alongside highly specialised Stroke Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists in the community
You will work directly with the therapists to deliver rehabilitation as well as deliver therapy programmes independently to aid patients in their recovery
You can expect to receive a robust induction and competency training programme. This will be further developed through regular training and supervision sessions with senior members of the team.
You will work closely with all members of our multidisciplinary team including nursing and psychology, maximising patients recovery and independence in their own environment
