Join to apply for the Security Shift Supervisor role at Corps Security.
We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Supervisor in Speke, Merseyside to oversee the performance and upkeep of the security function on one of our client premises. You will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of your team and ensure all colleagues are adhering to duties and maintaining a high level of professionalism and security presence.
Work pattern: 56 hours per week, 3 days, 3 nights and 3 days off rotation — shifts from 0600 to 1800.
What You Will Do
* Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring the team fulfills all daily tasks and adheres to Assignment Instructions and Corps Security policies.
* Monitor surveillance and alarm systems and respond to security breaches/incidents in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring escalation processes are followed.
* Lead, manage and motivate direct reports including goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching and development training, and monitor attendance/timekeeping.
* Submit all necessary reports and performance documentation accurately and promptly.
* Monitor all staff and contractor activities on site including control of contractors, recording of method statements and risk assessments.
* Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders during emergencies.
* Regularly inspect security equipment (e.g., CCTV, Access Control, Alarms) and ensure proper functioning and upkeep.
* Investigate security incidents, accidents and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
* Ensure effective cross-department communication and integrate security measures into all operational factors, including events, facility management, and safety for all persons on site.
* Achieve Corps Security KPIs and assist with investigations of apparent non-conformances.
* Ad-hoc duties as required.
What You Will Need
* Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
* A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential.
* 2 years minimum supervisor experience - essential.
* Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
* Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).
* Able to attend shifts using own transport.
* Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
