GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer for a contract opportunity based in London. We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated engineer with a proven track record in developing innovative digital products, platforms, and services for the world's most forward-thinking companies.
The successful candidate will play a key role in engineering new digital experiences, upholding best-in-class performance, efficiency, and design standards.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience and a strong foundation in the following areas:
Technical Skills & Experience:
Expertise in full stack development, delivering end-to-end systems using React, TypeScript, and
Hands-on experience with Backstage, including plugin development, managing the software catalogue, and utilizing TechDocs.
Proficiency in designing scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient distributed architectures.
Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform, as well as observability stacks.
Demonstrated ability to integrate and secure services across major cloud platforms.
Leadership & Communication:
Confidence in leading architectural discussions and driving small-scale technical initiatives.
Strong written communication skills, capable of producing clear, comprehensive design documentation and RFCs.
A strong commitment to enhancing the developer experience and achieving measurable productivity improvements.
Job responsibilities
Develop and maintain intuitive React/Backstage web applications.
Design, implement, and manage scalable back-end services using, deployed on Linux/Kubernetes.
Ensure quality via comprehensive testing and manage automated CI/CD (GitHub, Jenkins, Argo CD).
Own deployed components, including on-call support and post-incident reviews.
Mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, code reviews, and promote continuous learning.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prototype and iterate on solutions for process improvement.
