You will be responsible for everything from pre-mobilisation planning to final delivery, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with the highest HSEQ standards.
Electrical Project Manager Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Oversee Construction, HSEQ, Commercial, and Project Controls functions.
Ensure the site organisation is effective and that all staff understand their delegated responsibilities.
Commercial & Budgetary Control: Validate budgets, monitor project measures, and investigate man-hour deviations.
Work with Quantity Surveyors on monthly progress applications and manage early warnings/variations.
Planning & Execution: Prepare pre-construction requirements (RAMS, ITPs, HSE Plans).
Monitor labour deployment, equipment usage, and construction drawings to manage ongoing changes.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point for official client correspondence, attend site meetings, and chair internal progress reviews.
Subcontractor & Procurement: Manage the full subcontract cyclefrom tender evaluation and selection to forecasting and contract closeout.
Mentorship: Technical guidance for project teams and the mentoring of junior to intermediate staff.
Electrical Project Manager Requirements Experience: 10 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role (Construction Manager or Project Manager level).
Education: Degree in Engineering or a relevant post-secondary construction/trades qualification.
Sector Expertise: Strong preference for candidates with a background in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or Heavy Industrial environments.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of project controls (scheduling, tendering, planning), contract law, and construction safety legislation.
Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for reporting and data analysis.
Personal Attributes Proactive Leader: Able to resolve technical and constructability issues independently.
