With an estimated annual turnover of £14 million and a headcount of around 85 staff, the firm combines solid infrastructure with a personalised, local approach. Its Corporate & Commercial department plays a vital role in the firm’s wider offering, regularly advising on high-value transactions, business sales, restructures, and complex contractual arrangements.The team’s current portfolio spans a broad mix of sectors, including manufacturing, retail, agriculture, hospitality, and technology. Clients range from fast-growth start-ups to long-established family businesses and regional private companies, and the work frequently involves cross-departmental collaboration with the firm’s commercial property, private client, and litigation teams.In this role, you’ll manage your own varied caseload of corporate transactional work. This includes business and asset sales and purchases, share buybacks, shareholders’ agreements, refinancing, company constitutions, and reorganisations. You’ll also support clients with a range of commercial contracts, terms and conditions, partnership agreements, and joint ventures. Your input will be valued from instruction through to completion, with the support of experienced colleagues, administrative staff, and the firm’s dedicated compliance function. This is an agile opportunity with flexibility on location (including part-remote working) and is ideal for someone who wants to grow their corporate practice within a highly regarded and collegiate environment. The team is currently lean and led by experienced senior lawyers, meaning your contribution will be highly visible and impactful, with a clear path to progression and recognition.You’ll be circa 3PQE and can confidently handle your own matters, enjoys client interaction, and brings a proactive, commercially-minded approach.
