The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Service Assembly & Warehouse Operative on behalf of a well-established and growing company based in Cwmbran. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and expanding team.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a combination of service assembly, workshop duties, and warehouse operations, supporting the day-to-day running of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out in-house assembly, overhaul, and testing of equipment
* Monitoring and controlling stock from work-in-progress through to finished goods
* Receiving, inspecting, and dispatching goods, ensuring accurate stock control
* Operating equipment safely, including forklifts, tools, and testing equipment
* Planning and meeting workshop schedules
* Coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries with freight partners
* Maintaining workshop and stores areas, including tools and equipment
* Following all health & safety procedures and using PPE correctly
* Supporting compliance with quality systems and general business operations
Requirements
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
* Mechanically minded with hands-on practical ability
* Mechanical and/or electrical experience (advantageous)
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Experience with IT systems and stock/inventory systems
* Flexible and proactive approach to work
* Forklift/Counterbalance experience or licence (preferred)
Working Hours
* Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00
* Friday: 07:30 - 15:00
* 39 hours per week
Salary
* £28,000 per annum
