Carbon60 is seeking skilled and experienced Aircraft Mechanical Fitters to join their dynamic client based in Shropshire. As an Aircraft Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the company's UK MFTS (Rotary Wing) H135/H145 fleet. This is a 6 month contract that is likely to be extended. Due to the nature of our client you will need to be able to obtain SC clearance. You will also need a Driving License. Both PAYE and Umbrella hourly rates available. Responsibilities of the Aircraft Mechanical Fitter: - Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations - Accomplish Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer - Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft - Complete maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions - Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required - Assist in the day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities Qualifications and Experience: - Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or a related discipline (Essential) - Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems (Essential) - Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to engine and airf...
