AbouttheOpportunity
The Rural andRemote Mental Health Program delivers mental health and alcohol and drugservices to communities across the Townsville Hospital and Health Serviceregion. This position is based at the Burdekin Mental HealthService,locatedwithin Ayr Hospital.
In this role,you will provide psychological assessment, formulation,therapeuticinterventionand care coordination for consumersexperiencing complex and severe mental health and/or substance use concerns.You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and external serviceproviders to deliverperson centred,evidence informedcare.
You’llhavethe opportunity to work across the lifespan, contribute to integrated modelsofcareand support the wellbeing of individuals and families withinthe Burdekin community.

WhatYou’llNeed
Mandatory
* A four-year degree inPsychology(Honoursor equivalent)
* Registration with the Psychology Board ofAustralia(AHPRA)
* Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychologyorsignificant progresstowardscompletion
* Training or qualifications in individual or grouptherapeutic modalities
* Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised MentalHealthPractitioner
