Overview
Finance Assistant to support the delivery of the Government Key Worker Accommodation Contract, working across various stages of a property’s life cycle. Responsibilities include processing invoices and receipts, auditing and arranging payments, and maintaining accurate financial records to ensure payment terms are met and penalties are avoided. You will help deliver exceptional service by ensuring timely payments to customers and clients, while providing administrative support to managers to help achieve wider business objectives. The role involves updating and maintaining written and digital records, conducting data audits, producing reports, and highlighting key findings. Responsibilities
* Process invoices, receipts, and arrange payments.
* Audit and maintain accurate financial records to ensure payment terms are met and penalties are avoided.
* Provide administrative support to managers and wider teams to help achieve business objectives.
* Update and maintain written and digital records; conduct data audits; produce reports; highlight key findings.
* Ensure timely payments to customers and clients and deliver exceptional service.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in processing invoices, receipts, and arranging payments.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
* Understanding of payment terms and the importance of avoiding penalties.
* Ability to deliver timely and accurate payments to customers and clients.
* Skilled in providing administrative support to managers and wider teams.
* Proficient in updating and maintaining both written and digital records.
* Experience conducting data audits and producing reports; ability to analyse and highlight key findings from financial data.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills; excellent communication (written and verbal).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and comfortable using finance systems.
* Ability to work across multiple stages of a property life cycle and to work independently and collaboratively.
* Understanding of or willingness to learn about government contracts and housing operations.
* Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
* Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and alignment with Mears’ values and social responsibility.

* Salary: Up to £25,532.64 per annum
Other Requirements
* Background, Identity, Security clearance & BPSS checks required; you will need identification, Proof of Address, References, a valid passport, and evidence of residence in the UK for the last 5 years.
