Medical Records Officer (Bank)
Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen is part of Circle Health Group, Britains leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
Bank Shifts: shifts are assigned on an “as and when required” basis. You will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of This Role
* Prepare patient records for upcoming clinics, admissions, investigations, and procedures.
* Ensure all required documentation (e.g., consent forms, test results, referral letters) is accurately filed and accessible for clinical teams.
* Locate and retrieve patient notes efficiently when requested by clinical, admin, or legal teams.
* Handle patient information with the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion.
* Support clinicians and administrative teams by ensuring timely access to complete and accurate records.
* Use electronic systems (e.g., hospital PAS, EMR, or EPR platforms) to log, update, and search patient data accurately.
Applicants Should Meet the Following Criteria
* Previous administrative experience, ideally in a healthcare or records-focused role.
* Good understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and information governance.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
* Comfortable working with IT systems and databases.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and respectful manner.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £12.79 per hour.
