Due to growth, we're looking for a Practice Support Manager to join our team in Cosham, Portsmouth. A new and interesting role, you will be working closely with the Partner, Associate Partners and the team.
You will be providing high-quality administrative and operational support. The role focuses on organising, tracking, and coordinating key compliance and regulatory processes, ensuring they run smoothly, consistently, and on time. This is a hands-on support role for someone who is highly organised, systems-minded, and comfortable working across teams.
We're able to provide progression for the right person along with flexible working hours and hybrid working (after an initial probation period).
Key responsibilities to include:
Support partners with client and operational responsibilities
New client onboarding, including due diligence (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements
Renewing engagement letters and managing ongoing KYC/AML obligations.
Reviewing client fees and preparing proposals
Helping improve processes and strengthen workflow management
Maintaining accuracy and integrity of client data and internal systems
Providing communication support to enhance client experience and encourage cross‑sell opportunities
Deadline tracking and regulatory compliance coordination (internal and client‑side)
Tracking cross‑sell and growth opportunities
Assisting with the integration of new business
Managing projects and administrative processes and compliance for teams
Ensuring client satisfaction
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Experience in an administrative, coordination, or operational support role ideally within an accounting practice or other professional services environment
Strong IT skills and confidence working with systems, data, and documentation
Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Teams and Co-pilot. Xero experience would be beneficial
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to manage multiple priorities and follow processes through to completion
Practical, process-driven and comfortable following up and enforcing standards
Clear and concise communicator who is trustworthy and discreet
Confident interacting with partners
Shows initiative and can adapt/evolve under pressure
Curious and improvement-focused, with an interest in streamlining processes and working smarter
Professional with the ability to influence
