Overview
A vacancy at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Fixed Term Maternity Cover: 1 year, 37.5 hours per week.
The post-holder will be working as part of the Surgical Admissions Lounge team and will be involved in the admission process of patients undergoing Surgery / Interventional Radiology procedures. Experience in phlebotomy and ECG is an advantage but training will be provided. The Surgical Admissions Lounge is a nurse-led department and we strive for excellence and are passionate about the quality of care we deliver to our patients. You will work as part of the nursing team, ensuring our patients are prepared safely for theatre and receive high standards of care from the very start of their hospital journey. Your main role will be managing your own workload by preparing patients for surgery, under supervision of trained staff.
Responsibilities
* Work proactively to ensure that theatre utilisation is optimised.
* Maintain our existing processes.
* Promote and deliver a high quality, patient focused service.
* Carry out regular auditing to ensure high levels of care are maintained.
