As we continue to grow and evolve our portfolio, we are looking for a manager to join our Capital Investments & Transactions team, helping to drive our strategic growth agenda through global M&A and partnership opportunities.
You will be at the forefront of IHG’s growth strategy, supporting a wide range of high-impact initiatives, including brand acquisitions, portfolio reviews, strategic partnerships and other growth initiatives. Working cross-functionally with global teams and external advisors, you’ll help shape the future of IHG's global portfolio.
What you’ll do:
* Drive Strategic Investments: Support sourcing, analysis, and execution of global M&A and capital investment opportunities.
* Market Analysis: Leverage internal and external databases to conduct detailed market research and competitive benchmarking.
* Financial Modelling: Build and interpret sophisticated financial models (NPV, IRR, DCF) to assess investment viability.
* Due Diligence: Participate in and coordinate due diligence activities across cross-functional teams.
* Strategic Communication: Prepare Executive Committee and Board-level presentations, capital papers, and internal briefing materials for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
* Cross-Functional Impact: Project manage and collaborate with Development, Strategy, Finance, Brand, Technology and Operations teams on key expansion initiatives.
* Industry Network: Develop and maintain relationships with investors, investment bankers, developers, brokers and other consultants involved in the hospitality industry.
What you'll bring:
* A degree or equivalent, in Business, Finance, Strategy, or related field or relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ACA, CFA).
* 3 to 5+ years of work experience in M&A, corporate finance, or valuation, ideally from investment banking, Big 4 Transaction Services, or a similar.
* Deep understanding of corporate finance and investment evaluation techniques.
* Advanced Excel modelling and strong PowerPoint storytelling skills.
* Experience reviewing financial statements and transactional documentation.
* Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required.
