Manager, Corporate Tax
Our Corporate Tax specialists within the EY Corporate Tax team work with a wide range of businesses, including OMBs, multi-generational family businesses, PE-backed entities, global corporations, and AIM-listed companies. They support clients at all stages of the business life cycle, from start‑ups through to established multinationals. Work involves both tax advisory and compliance, providing tax advice on matters such as M&A structuring, exit planning, group re‑organisations, expansion into overseas territories, and more.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join EY’s Corporate Tax team nationwide. The successful candidate will work with excellent existing clients, building and expanding relationships, and be instrumental in winning new business. The role offers the chance to work on some of the most exciting clients in the market and help them navigate an ever‑increasingly complex business and tax environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with clients.
* Proactively develop business opportunities to add value to existing and new clients.
* Manage the successful delivery of technically complex tax compliance and tax reporting engagements, as well as related advisory projects.
* Participate in tax audit engagements.
* Provide exceptional client service.
* Collaborate with other tax specialist teams.
* Provide development support to junior team members through effective supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
* Contribute to people initiatives.

* Strong Corporate Tax technical skills.

* Effective time management and ability to remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
To Qualify for the Role You Must Have
* ACA / CA / CTA / Tax Inspector with full technical training course, law qualification, tax specialist qualification, or equivalent breadth of knowledge.
* Strong tax technical skills.
* Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to generate new work.
* Experience coaching and developing more junior staff.
Ideally You’ll Also Have
* Project management skills to plan, prioritise work, meet deadlines, and monitor budgets.
* Creative and pragmatic problem‑solving skills, recognising both the tax technical and commercial implications of advice given.
