Reports to: Strategic Hub Lead
Location: Hybrid working with an office base in Maidenhead. Travel across Berkshire is required. This role is not suitable for remote working.
Working hours: 37.5 per week; we will consider requests for part-time or flexible working

The Skills and Business Hub delivers high-quality careers education through the Berkshire Careers Hub, connecting schools, colleges, and employers to improve careers education and prepare young people for the future.
The Careers Hub provides vital links between employers and education providers, ensuring that young people across Berkshire have access to meaningful career opportunities. We are a forward-thinking team with a strong reputation for delivery, the Hub supports schools and colleges through tailored guidance, employer encounters, and work experience. Our network of Cornerstone Employers play a key role in delivering impactful initiatives such as Teacher Encounters, Apprenticeship promotion, and careers support for disadvantaged students. Together, we help schools towards meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks and embed national Employer Standards, aligning education with Berkshire's evolving labour market. Our aim is to foster a thriving ecosystem of careers guidance and employer engagement.
As Operational Hub Lead, you will have the opportunity to:
· Lead and manage a team of Enterprise Coordinators and volunteers to provide high quality careers and enterprise education for 11–18-year-olds. Aligning with the Skills and Business Hub's strategic and economic skills priorities, ensuring effective delivery to improve career outcomes and achieve sustainable change in provision at a local and national level.
· Ensure service delivery is consistently of a high quality, aligns to the Gatsby Benchmarks and achieves the outcomes within the Careers Hub Strategic Plan, The Hub Development Model, and the Grant Funding Agreement with The Careers and Enterprise Company.
· Work closely with the Strategic Hub Lead and cross sector stakeholders within the careers space, driving collaboration and ensuring delivery of the Careers Hub Strategic plan.
We are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader with excellent stakeholder management skills and a passion for helping young people succeed. This role offers the chance to make a lasting difference while working in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years' experience in careers education, skills, or senior project management.
* Proven success in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
* Strong understanding of the challenges faced by schools and colleges in delivering careers education.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across education, careers, and business sectors.
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office and managing performance data.
* Knowledge of Berkshire's strategic economic priorities and local labour market is desirable.
