About the Project
Sizewell C (SZC) is at the heart of the UK’s clean energy revolution. This ground-breaking nuclear power plant project in Suffolk will play a vital role in delivering a sustainable future. Backed by EDF and the UK Government, Sizewell C is a once-in-a-generation project with significant opportunities to innovate, grow, and deliver excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Construction Manager, you’ll oversee the reconstruction of a key section of the SZC works. You’ll lead the charge in ensuring safety, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
* Team Leadership and Strategic Execution: Developing and implementing detailed construction strategies and plans.
* Project Oversight: Ensuring safety and quality in delivering new projects within Sizewell C.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with contractors, regulators, and government bodies to ensure project success.
* Continuous Improvement: Driving innovation and embedding lessons learned for world-class project delivery.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations and proven track record of their implementation.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven leader with a strong track record of delivering large, technically complex construction projects.
* Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and working within regulated environments.
* Leadership skills to inspire teams, resolve complex issues, and foster collaboration.
* Technical knowledge of construction methodologies, CDM Regulations, and earned value management tools.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills.
* Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, or related field is desirable.
