As Operations Controller, you will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring that all schedules for inbound receipts and outbound loads are run efficiently. You will liaise with warehouse operatives, Shift Supervisors, and Shift Managers to maintain a smooth flow of work throughout the shift.

Any 5 in 7 days rotating, 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00

What will you be doing?
* Efficiently managing the outbound schedule to ensure collection and delivery times are met.
* Issuing instructions to designated staff to maintain a smooth flow of inbound and outbound work.
* Controlling paperwork for outbound vehicles ensuring 100% accuracy.
* Being the initial point of contact for all drivers arriving on site.
* Communicating issues to Shift Manager in a timely manner to minimise disruption to the schedule.
* Participating as an active member of the operations team and offering suggestions for solving problems and improving efficiency, customer, and quality focus.
* Maintaining good communication with transport providers to prevent late collections and delivery failures.
* Producing a thorough, detailed handover to the following shift, highlighting potential issues, reminders, and the current state of play.
Qualifications:
* Ability to prioritize work based on scheduling and resources.
* High attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* In-depth knowledge of on-site systems.
* Experience with Autostore and RF kit.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Drive and desire to progress.
* Flexibility in work and shift patterns.
* Courteous and professional attitude towards customers and third-party hauliers.
* Good communication skills, both oral and written.
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal and networking skills with suppliers, hauliers, and customers.
