What the Role Entails
As a peripatetic Occupational Therapist you will:
- Deliver person‑centred interventions across diverse settings.
- Promote independence and support individuals to achieve their goals.
- Ensure safe and effective care planning.
- Work collaboratively with formal and informal carers, health and social care professionals.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years’ post‑qualifying experience in health and/or social care.
* Experience in major adaptations, complex moving and handling, and enablement.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with people, formal and informal carers, and health and social care professionals.
* Broad experience with people who have complex medical conditions and multi‑pathology.
* Ability to complete comprehensive strength‑based assessments and client‑centred enablement plans.
* Organising, prioritising caseload and delegating to Occupational Therapy Assistants to meet client‑centred objectives.
* Self‑motivated with a flexible approach.
Legal and Administrative Requirements
* All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. Sponsorship is not offered for this role.
* This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be conditional upon a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
* Following the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance, an additional online pre‑employment check may be required from 1 September 22.
