Your responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for…
* Managing all aspects of the contractual and financial elements of construction projects.
* Liaising with clients, consultants and design teams pre and post contract.
* Procurement of sub-contractors including enquires, cost analysis, pre order procedures through to order placement.
* Preparing monthly cost value reports and any ad hoc financial reporting as required.
* Valuing completed work, managing budgets, and overseeing payments.
* Collating effective records to support the final account and sub-contract accounts.
* Site measures for contract valuations, variations and sub-contractors.
* Setting targets and managing budgets for any WCL direct works.
* Control and manage all tender and contract information in line with the business systems.
* Undertake unaccompanied site visits to meet the needs of your role.
* Providing support and guidance to trainee and junior members of the commercial team.
* Liaising with and assisting as necessary other Company employees and management.
Ideal Candidate
* Professional and confident with the ability to deal with clients, consultants and supply chain
* Minimum 5 years Quantity Surveying experience within a similar organization.
* Educated to Degree Level in relevant commercial qualification.
* Excels in working as part of a team and under own supervision.
* Organised, self-motivate and the ability to work to deadlines.
* Works well under pressure.
* Competent with IT systems, in particular the Microsoft suite of software.
* Ability to maintain high quality & attention to detail.
* Full UK driving license and transport.
