The Role - Qualified Teacher (PMLD & SLD) - QTS Required
We are working with an exceptional SEN school that supports children and young people aged 2-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This school has been rated Outstanding by OFSTED for over 21 years and is now seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher (QTS essential) to join their team.
Teaching Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality, tailored lessons that meet the complex needs of pupils with PMLD and SLD
* Work collaboratively with a team of teaching assistants and therapists to support holistic development
* Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
* Communicate effectively with families and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure consistent support for pupils
What We're Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
* Experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly PMLD and SLD
* A deep understanding of complex learning needs and a passion for inclusive education
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching approaches creatively
* A proactive, reflective, and flexible approach to teaching in a specialist setting
