Supervising Social Worker
Location: Hybrid covering a caseload across the Boston region
Overview:
Were working with a highly regarded independent fostering organisation thats looking for an experienced and passionate Supervising Social Worker to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner who wants to make a genuine difference while working within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The organisation promotes hybrid working, offering flexibility to work from home and the office, with regular visits to foster carers across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a manageable caseload of around 1315 fostering families, providing supervision, guidance, and support.
* Build strong relationships with foster carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
* Participate in the out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
* Complete regular supervision visits, annual reviews, and written reports to a high standard.
* Work collaboratively with professionals, carers, and families to promote stability and positive change.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fostering legislation, childcare law, and safeguarding requirements.
Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
* Previous experience in fostering or within a childrens social care team (e.g. LAC, safeguarding, or assessment).
* Strong understanding of fostering regulations, care standards, and best practice guidance.
* Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
