Job Title: Temporary Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger Location: Near Stowmarket, Suffolk Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time, Office-Based) Start Date: ASAP About the Role: A client of ours are currently seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Assistant to support their finance team with a focus on the purchase ledger. Based near Stowmarket, this position plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments during a busy period. Key Responsibilities: • Process purchase invoices accurately and efficiently • Match, batch, and code invoices to the correct cost centres • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies • Prepare payment runs and ensure payments are made in line with company policy • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries • Assist with month-end procedures related to the purchase ledger • General finance admin support as required Requirements: • Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role, with a focus on purchase ledger • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel • Good communication and organisational skills • Able to work independently and as part of a small team • Reliable and available to start at short notice
