The successful candidate can expect to work on a part-time basis, 21 hours per week (excluding breaks), three shifts out of seven including weekends. Hours vary, but typical shift patterns include 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and 12pm to 8pm. The salary for this part-time position is £14,742 per annum, paid weekly. This is pro-rata the full-time equivalent salary of £24,570. About The Role To meet and greet guests upon their arrival at the hotel ensuring an efficient, professional and friendly check in/out process. Typical tasks are; To be knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and the amenities and attractions in the locality. To be aware of all hotel services and be proactive in the sale of these to guests To check in guests on arrival and check them out at the end of their stay, ensuring that the correct procedures are followed for receiving payment. To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes. To balance bank, cash, foreign currency and all transactions at the end of your shift. To answer telephone calls from guests and external callers. To assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution To ensure that the reception area is maintained in a clean and tidy manner in accordance with departmental standards. Report any technical and maintenance needs. To ensure the security of reception and storage areas is maintained always. To comply with all health, safety, hygiene and licensing policies and procedures. To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all staff are treated with respect. Any other duties as required by Management Required Criteria A right to work in the United Kingdom Excellent command of the English Language to at least B2 level Previous Customer Service experience delievered in person, via email, and via telephone The ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience A professional appearance Educated to level 2 (GCSE grades A-C) or the equivalent in English and Mathematics Excellent computer literacy Desired Criteria Previous experience within a Hotel Reception Educated to Level 6 (Undergraduate Degree) in a relevant field such as Tourism & Hospitality Management or working towards Skills Needed Exceptional Customer Service Skills, Reception skills, Reservation skills, Local Knowledge Skills About The Company Hastings Hotels owns and operates six hotels in Northern Ireland, with over 1,000 bedrooms, a stand-alone gastro-pub, and a luxury spa.
