About the Role
As a Junior Electrical Technician, you’ll support our engineers with test design and execution, help run a safe, efficient R&D lab, and contribute to day-to-day project activities. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll learn rapidly, build real prototypes, and see your work influence product development.
What You’ll Do
Test System Design & Development
* Help develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and protocols for components and systems.
* Build simple test fixtures and support the upkeep of test equipment.
* Collaborate with engineers to improve testability during development.
Test Execution
* Run electrical tests on prototypes and components to verify performance and compliance with specifications.
* Troubleshoot issues during testing, escalating and collaborating as needed.
* Follow safe working practices and ensure accurate, efficient test execution.
Data Analysis & Reporting
* Record results, analyse data, and contribute clear, concise test reports.
* Document procedures, findings, and improvement recommendations.
Keep the lab organised, safe, and audit-ready; propose small process improvements that boost efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
* Level 5 Diploma in Electrical (or apprenticeship) or equivalent hands-on experience.
* Proven practical experience with electrical build/test work.
* Familiarity with common test tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analysers, LCR meters).
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
* Clear communication and teamwork skills.
* Exposure to high-voltage testing.
* Interest in clean-tech, power systems, or energy innovation.
