About the Role:
As a Primary Tutor, you will work one-to-one or in small groups with students aged 4-11, delivering personalised support designed to meet each learner's unique needs. Key Responsibilities:
* Assess pupils' educational needs and current attainment levels
* Plan and deliver engaging, targeted lessons based on a tailored scheme of work
* Adapt teaching approaches to suit the individual learning styles and requirements of each student
* Monitor and report on progress, feeding back regularly to parents/carers and the Local Authority
* Support the social and emotional development of the student, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with primary-aged children (KS1/KS2), ideally in a teaching or tutoring capacity
* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
* Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A calm, patient and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable or disengaged learners
* QTS or relevant teaching/tutoring qualifications are desirable, but not essential
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Benefits:
* Competitive pay: £20-£30 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
* Flexible working hours to suit your schedule
* Ongoing support from a friendly, knowledgeable team
* The opportunity to make a lasting impact in a child's educational journey
Location:
Swindon and surrounding areas - face-to-face tuition sessions, typically in schools, community settings, or students' homes (depending on the placement).
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ's on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This
