Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements: We require strong commercial experience with Java, specifically versions 8 to 17. We require proven expertise with Spring Framework technologies, including Spring Boot and Spring MVC. We require experience with JavaScript development. We require current hands-on Java development experience within enterprise environments. We require the ability to mentor, guide, and support junior developers. We require excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. We require the ability to meet BPSS and SC security clearance checks. We require a continuous 5-year UK address history at the time of application, with no absences from the UK exceeding 30 consecutive days, subject to client engagement requirements. Responsibilities: We champion best practices in software development, including coding standards, branching strategies, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Testing. We collaborate with technical leads to design and implement scalable microservices architectures. We ensure seamless integration across technical components. We support test automation activities by working closely with QA engineers to validate functional and non-functional requirements. We actively contribute within an Agile Scrum environment, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. We mentor and support team members across development and testing activities. We help deliver high-quality solutions across large-scale, impactful projects. We attend our Newcastle office at Cobalt Business Park three days per week as part of our hybrid working model.
